For solid waste disposal, the Crowsnest Pass is a member of a regional garbage disposal system with solid waste presently being disposed of at the M.D. of Pincher Creek Sanitary Landfill site. Residential garbage is collected on a weekly basis, while industrial waste pick-up services is no longer provided by the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass. These services are provided by CNP Waste Disposal, telephone 403-563-5220.
Bi-Monthly rates for garbage collection:
- Residential: $32.64
- Commercial - the Municipality of Crowsnest pass no longer provides garbage collection services to commercial customers.
Utility security deposit (Rental Accounts only) $100.00 per account.
All mandatory services are billed as a package (Water,Sewer & Garbage)
Time schedule for residential garbage collection:
- Coleman: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Blairmore / Frank: Monday and Tuesday
- Bellevue / Hillcrest: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
Time schedule is subject to change to accommodate recognition of statutory holidays.
Residential refuse containers shall hold a maximum of 84 litres and bag size shall not exceed 30” X 37” or equivalent and the weight of the filled bag shall not exceed twenty-five (25) kilograms. There is a five (5) bag limit per household.

The landfill is closed from 9:30 am to 10:30 am for a staff operational meeting.
