Law enforcement in the Crowsnest Pass area are the responsibility of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

To provide for prompt and co-ordinate response to peacetime emergencies affecting the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass a Peacetime Emergency Plan has been issued by Council.
House Numbering
Back in the 1980s, the Municipality undertook a program to develop a house numbering system. At the time many residents appropriately placed their house numbers on their homes. Unfortunately many still have not done this. As a matter of safety, it is advisable that your house number be adequately posted and visible. This would make emergency service by Ambulance, Fire or Rescue Departments faster, when even minutes or seconds count. Country residential areas are even more difficult to locate and it is suggested that house numbers should be visible from the roadway and even in fluorescent colours or reflective material.
