Mission Statement
To find good suitable homes for homeless stray animals, or animals in distress where they can receive the love and attention that every animal deserves, and in the meantime provide a homelike environment within the animal shelter here with love and care provided by the volunteers!
Petfinder.com has established important steps in animal care:
- Provision of a shelter, this with the full support and on-going assistance of the Municipality.
- A spaying / neutering program.
- An adoption program.
- An animal control program.
- Educational programs in animal care given at local schools.
The S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter The animal shelter, located at Hillcrest, Alberta is open from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Monday to Thursday. Twice a day, all year round, including Christmas and all holidays, volunteers visit to clean cages, replenish food and spend time with the animals. You can contact us at: 403-564-4999 or

The Organization The organization began in 1975. At that time there was no animal welfare group in the Pass. Animals were frequently abandoned as there was no adoption program.
